In the film, the main character has black rings around his arm, one for each year that passes, like tree rings. I haven't seen any The Fountain tattoos out there, but I have seen one other tattoo based on the tree ring concept <a href="http://i37.tinypic.com/59zoyh.jpg">(PIC)</a>.<br />The image below is taken from The Fountain graphic novel and the tattoo is a bit different from the film. <img alt="" src="http://i35.tinypic.com/2rp4ehu.png" /><br />You can see the way it looks in the film <br /><a name="cutid1"></a><lj-embed id="1" /><br />The downside of a tattoo like this would be that I would feel compelled to get a new ring added for every year I'm alive. Also, I'm not a tree-hugger. Thoughts?
